Android Apps Unit
For this unit you will need to use the website appinventor.mit.edu to create several android apps. Each of the apps below are all of the assignments that need to be completed. In Google Classroom, under classwork, you will find a list of assignments that are titled by the names of each app. It will look very similar to the list below. Any files that you may need (such as images or sound files) will be linked to the google classroom assignment. When you finish each app, open up the Google Doc that is attached to each assignment, and screenshot your designer screen AND your blocks screen, then click Turn in. Pay attention to the due dates for each project in Google Classroom. Failure to complete each of the programs by their due dates will result in an Academic Overtime.
Unit 1: Beginners - All must be completed
Unit 2: Intermediate - Choose 2 (These are written instructions, rather than videos)
Unit 3: Advanced - Must do Both Apps
- Mole Mash - You will need to watch all three of the following videos in order to complete this app.
- Space Invaders
Unit 4: Final Android App
For your final app project you have the freedom to create whatever app you would like to create. You may create any app you want, as long as your app meets the following requirements:
Some ideas for apps include games, trivia, quiz apps, drawing, or coloring apps. There are many more possibilities as well. You cannot recreate an app we have already done as a tutorial (unless you change it substantially and is approved by teacher before starting), but if you find other tutorials that we have not done in class, and that meet the requirements, you may do that. You can also find ideas and tutorials on YouTube.
When you are finished, Submit your screenshots of all of your screens and blocks to the Google Classroom Assignment
